Commercial Renovation — Charleston Condominium

Charleston Condominium

3 Chisolm Street, Charleston, SC

Architect: Cobb Architects

Chastain Construction has recently completed another condominium renovation in the historic 3 Chisolm Street. The interior renovation included buffing and refinishing the floors, fresh paint, installing new tiles in the bathroom, and new bathroom fixtures - including a 60" marble vanity, Kohler fixtures, vanity lights, and electrical work. The loft was updated to include an office adjacent to the bedroom. The new resident has carefully selected beautiful finishes, and we are confident they will love living in their newly renovated space.

The condominium is located in the former Andrew B. Murray Vocational School, built in the Neoclassical style, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The vocational school has been transformed into 26 modern condominiums while preserving the original historic architecture. The restoration of the building received a Carolopolis Award from the Preservation Society of Charleston, which recognizes outstanding achievements in preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation.
